What is 1988 survivor series?

The 1988 Survivor Series was the second annual Survivor Series event to be produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on November 24, 1988, at the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield Township, Ohio.

The main event of the show was a traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match, which saw The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage), along with Hercules, Koko B. Ware, and Hillbilly Jim, take on The Twin Towers (Akeem and The Big Boss Man), along with Ted DiBiase, Haku, and The Red Rooster. The Mega Powers emerged victorious after Hogan and Savage teamed up to take out The Twin Towers.

Another notable match on the card was a tournament final for the vacant WWF Championship, which saw The Ultimate Warrior defeat Hulk Hogan to win his first ever WWF title.

The event also featured several other elimination tag team matches, including a women's match, a tag team match, and a match between The Powers of Pain and The Bolsheviks.

The 1988 Survivor Series was significant in that it marked the beginning of the Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage rivalry, which would become one of the most intense and memorable feuds in wrestling history.
